How to read electric meter at my house? I live in Long Beach, CA and the meter at my house gives me reading of how much electricity we actually use. As of this morning: The original reading was 17736. Now reads 17820. Unit is KWH. Does it mean that I've used 84 KWH so far? Or there are some other method to calcuate? Please comment Thanks!

The shelves are in the basement going from floor to ceiliing, and I think it would be hard to install sliding doors.
